Lucent VitalAgent® software is embedded in the VitalApps system and serves as a remote data manager. Installed on customers' desktops, notebooks and servers, this unique software detects performance issues such as network bottlenecks well before they impact end-users. VitalAgent software reports directly from servers and desktops to the VitalApps management system whenever a performance-related event such as an e-mail failure or a significant drop in application functionality is encountered.

VitalApps software combines with the Lucent VitalNet™ Network Performance Management and VitalEvent™ Real-time Event Analysis systems to form the award-winning VitalSuite® software portfolio.
