IntellaPatch Blade
The IntellaPatch 16, 64, 144 and 288 switch models are based on a unique bladed design that allows network administrators and engineers to work with a variety of protocols and data rates. Each blade employs hot-swappable SFP or XFP transceivers, giving users a flexible solution for layer-1 connectivity.
One of the benefits of a bladed system is that each switch chassis can be populated with different blades - deploying SONET, Fibre Channel and Ethernet blades within one unit - which can all run independently and simultaneously. This modular design also provides a cost effective means of converting media, such as copper to fiber or multimode to single-mode.
